Last week the ARC released the Submission Guidelines for ERA (Excellence in Research for Australia) which will become the evaluation framework for assessing research in Australia. While the scheme will be fully implemented in 2010, a trial submission (including the Creative Industries Faculty) is being conducted in July/August 2009. This seminar will outline the crucial aspects of the scheme and its implications for individual academics and research funding in the Faculty. One short term priority will be for staff to deposit information on their publications and creative works into the QUT repository.

At this seminar Professor Brad Haseman, Assistant Dean (Research) will give an overview of ERA and Ellen Thompson and Paula Callan will provide information on the digital repository QUT is building for this research ERA.
