Would you like to increase your ability to create and produce interesting digital content? With free distribution networks like You Tube available, and multimedia content being the driving force behind successful personal and commercial websites, there are many ways to share your stories and messages on a global scale.

In the Digital Storytelling Workshops, you can work with expert creative practitioners to create your story for a wide and growing range of purposes. This can include community building, cultural engagement, brand identification, education and public communication.

At QUT Creative Industries we can help you learn how to write your script, record your voiceover, manipulate images, use sophisticated technology to edit your story and manage copyright issues using Creative Commons licensing. You will learn to produce a 2-3 minute digital video ready for personal use or online broadcasting.

All participants will receive a certificate of completion. It is also possible for participants to qualify for 12 credit points of advanced standing in a Creative Industries coursework postgraduate award.

This is a great opportunity to make new friends, work with experts and learn the skills required for creative digital storytelling.

This course runs for three full days from 23-26 June 2009 at QUT Creative Industries Kelvin Grove, Brisbane. You will also be required to attend a 1 hour introduction on the evening of 11 June 2009.
