The first of at least three International Communications Association pre-conference workshops will be held on Friday 14 August from 2-3pm in Room z6-413 for those wishing to submit papers for the conference in Singapore.
The 2010 ICA conference will be held from June 22-26, and the theme is “Matters of Communication: Political, Cultural and Technological Challenges”. The deadline for papers will be November 6, 2009. The aims of this workshop will be to:
• Explain what the ICA is, and why it may be useful to present there;
• Introduce people to Divisions and Interest Groups;
• Discuss papers, panels and poster presentations;
• Gauge what papers are likely to be submitted from the group.
Professor John Hartley and I will be there to discuss these issues.
